January 1, 2004 - Beetle of the Apocalypse
Dream:A beetle, scarab-esque, came to me while I was sleeping to warn me of the coming apocalypse. Curious, I lift my window shade to see that, indeed, the sky was aflame and the four horsemen of the apocalypse were on the march and meteors were falling from the heavens.
I decided that I dearly wanted to die in my sleep, so I rolled over and passed the hell out.
ANALYSIS:
One night during my senior year in college, I had stayed up too late (like always), but I was interrupted from blissful sleep around 4 am by a beetle crawling in my bed. I woke up enough to scoop it up and flush it down the toilet. Do not trifle a sleeping Keyye! The dream started sometime after this. I must have woke again around sunrise, saw the sky in all its morning glory, and my body said eff this, we need more sleep. Which is why I missed class... again.
The following class, my teacher noted that I had yet again missed our archaeology class (of 6 students total), so I explained that I was sorry, I thought it was the apocalypse and I just couldn't make it. At least it was the most original excuse she had heard.
My college roommates will not let me forget this dream.
